Religion vs Modern Civilization

Continued--Candidly speaking religion will be too weak an  implement to prevent future catastrophe and thus humans may hardly depend on it as the last savior. Besides its overall superiority no longer exists although there are no dearth of believers that religion will ultimately deliver humans from the perils of doomsday. It is now en established fact that state has become the most powerful organ that regulate and control the humans as per the needs of modern civilization. It is state which has compelled the religion to move back and take back seat. State is formed by peoples' mandate which however does not run everywhere of the earth, in consequence of which the peoples' free life and aspirations are not fulfilled and even they are under the tyranny of such states. Auto or dictatorial or traditionally formed state through monarchy or otherwise does run not according to the peoples' dictates enshrined in their blue books and there are apprehension that these state may turn rogue and bring disaster to the humans. Where there are peoples' involvement the states are under constraint to undertake such work as will benefit them and will never push them to the path of annihilation. This thinking has given birth to the concept of many agreements and treaties under the auspices of world body or joint efforts of two or more states which will help to do such work and take such action as will maintain global peace and tranquility and make the life of the people easy, comfortable and fearless. Question however remains that despite all these efforts so far undertaken, still chances of upheaval is there . To find the underlying causes and find remedies do not fall within the boundary of this article . If the states fail to discharge  their duties and obligations properly modern civilization will produce problem after problem and these agglomerated problems will sing the swan song of the humans. Let us hope that such a contingency may never happen !
